Ishwarya Ravi, born in 1987 in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., is a British abstract expressionist artist of Indian heritage, known for her richly textured and emotionally charged paintings. A self-taught artist, she explores themes of human emotion, perception, and spirituality through her work. Her canvases act as immersive fields of raw emotion, where layered marks, luminous colour, and gestural rhythms capture the immediacy and uncontainable nature of human experience.

Working with mixed media, Ishwarya embraces the materiality of paint, allowing texture, density, and transparency to guide the evolution of each piece. Her art examines spirituality and selfhood, aiming to express the innermost workings of the soul.
