Skwaam
Skwaam has made a significant mark in hip hop’s digital art space in London, where his illustrations have brought music to life since he began his journey in 2016. As a multidisciplinary artist, Skwaam's work focuses on digital illustration and has carved out a niche in the music, fashion, and television industries. He is known for his world-building and visual storytelling that transforms the sensation of sound into vivid visual art.
Skwaam's collaborations span from grime legends in the UK to rising stars in the US, providing artistic direction and visuals for the most influential names in music such as Kojey Radical. Skwaam and Kojey Radical collaborated recently for his latest tour ‘Reason to Smile’ which featured Skwaam’s artworks on the tour poster and bass drum skin which graced every stage on the tour, including Glastonbury and BBC Proms.
Skwaam is currently focused on developing an original universe of characters and continues to refine his digital illustration skills, pushing towards more ambitious, large-scale projects. His next major goal is to craft an illustrated narrative for a conceptual album—drawing inspiration from the album booklets he enjoyed reading growing up. With this vision, Skwaam aims to bring back the magic of collecting physical albums, while advocating for creativity across artistic industries.
